Joanne Rosener was born and raised in Michigan where she graduated from Western Michigan University (B.S. Dietetics) and Michigan State University (Nutrition). In the mid80’s she moved to Rochester where she began a 30-year career at Mayo Clinic. In the mid90’s she received a degree in Management from St Mary’s College and shifted careers from Dietetics administration to Human Resources administration where she led Human Resources IT. While working, Joanne’s interest in serving the community was satisfied with serving on the board and as board chair for several non-profits including Ronald McDonald House, Channel One, American Heart Association, United Way of Olmsted County, Rotary and Grace Lutheran Church Mission Outreach.
Following retirement in 2012, Joanne has continued to remain active in the Rochester community. Joanne has been a member of the Rochester Risers Rotary Club for 27 years and has served as President in 2001 and again in 2018. Joanne has also been active at the Rotary district level in various capacities over the years. Today, Joanne continues to serve the non-profit community and is immediate past board chair of the Rochester Parks Foundation and Rochester Area Pickleball Association. She has served one term on the Rochester Public Library Foundation Board and is looking forward to her second term.
Joanne is married to a Dick Rosener. They have a daughter and granddaughter living in Arizona. In their leisure time, when not traveling around the world, you’ll find them on the bike trails, pickleball courts or golf course.
