Funds raised by Friends come mainly from the sale of donated materials in the Friends Bookstore, the sale of books online, and through four large auditorium sales held throughout the year.

Entrance to the bookstore

The Friends Bookstore is located on the main floor of Rochester Public Library with the entrances in the lobby and inside the library next to the elevator.

We specialize in quality used books at reasonable prices.

Stock includes children's books, fiction, non-fiction, foreign language, classics and vintage books. We also sell movie DVDs, music CDs, jigsaw puzzles, audiobooks, sheet music, gift certificates, and Friends memberships.

Be sure to also browse the changing inventory we have on racks just outside the bookstore, both in the lobby and in the library. The glass display case on your right as you enter the library holds seasonal and themed merchandise.

We accept either cash or credit/debit cards for store purchases.
Memberships can be purchased in the store with cash, credit/debit card, or personal check.
